Small text files in your browser.
Cookies are small text files created by a website you visit and stored in your browser. They let the site remember your preferences and recognise repeat visits, which makes navigation smoother and improves the overall experience.
To learn what works and what doesn't.
We use cookies for two reasons only: to make the site work as you'd expect (theme preference, consent record), and to understand at a high level how people interact with our content so we can improve it. We don't use cookies for advertising and we don't sell or share the data with third parties beyond the analytics provider listed below.
The full list.
We group cookies into two categories: functional (necessary for the site to work and remember your consent choice) and analytical (Google Analytics 4, used to measure traffic). You can refuse analytical cookies at any time.
a) Functional (necessary) cookies
These cookies are required for the site to function and to record whether you've accepted or refused cookies. They are stored without explicit consent because the site can't work without them.
b) Analytical cookies (Google Analytics 4)
Google Analytics gives us aggregate numbers about how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they come from. We don't see personal information — only anonymous, aggregated patterns. If you refuse these cookies, your visit isn't counted, but nothing on the site stops working.
Other data we touch.
We use your browser's local storage for one small thing: remembering whether you chose the dark or light theme (key: ffcode-theme). This is stored only on your device and never sent to our server.
Every visit to any website creates server logs. Our server records the request IP address, timestamp, page URL, and the browser/operating system reported by your browser. These logs are used for security monitoring and debugging, are not linked to any individual identity, and are not shared with anyone outside our hosting infrastructure.
Your browser, your settings.
Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Steps differ slightly by browser:
— Google Chrome
— Mozilla Firefox
— Safari (macOS)
— Microsoft Edge
— Opera
Note that if you disable functional cookies in your browser, the cookie consent banner will reappear on every visit because we can't remember your previous choice.
How you choose.
The first time you visit, a small banner asks you to accept all cookies, accept only the necessary ones, or open settings to choose per category. Functional cookies can't be refused because the site can't work without them. Analytical cookies are off by default until you accept.
You can change your mind at any time — clear the cookies for this site in your browser and the banner will reappear on your next visit, letting you make a fresh choice.
Last updated: May 2026.
We may update this cookie notice from time to time — for example, if we add a new analytics or marketing tool. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. For substantial changes (such as adding a new third-party cookie), we'll also surface the change in the cookie banner so you can re-consent.
